South Africa senior national football team coach Molefi Ntseki has urged Bafana Bafana's CHAN squad to bring their A-game against Malawi on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

The former Kaizer Chiefs mentor said this before leaving for Lilongwe to face the Flames at Bingu National Stadium. Molefi Ntseki cautioned his players against the Flames, saying they have players with experience at a high level, including the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

“We have gone through their team that is selected. They have selected all their best locally-based players. These are the players who have been playing in the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers,” he told the media on Thursday.

“We have done our homework. They are a tough team. We have to bring our A-game, which is about a very good attitude and a high level of determination to come back with a point.”

The Bafana Bafana B team coach then said they will go to Lilongwe, hoping to score and make life easier in the reverse fixture in South Africa.

“We are ready. We just have to play the game in Malawi with a clear understanding that a goal would be very important for us,” he added.

Bafana Bafana will host the Flames at Loftus Stadium in Tshwane on Sunday, 11 May 2025. The overall winner will qualify for the CHAN finals scheduled for Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in August 2025.
