Ugandan striker Charles Bbaale has officially ended his tenure with Rwanda Premier League outfit Rayon Sports after one-and-a half seasons.

Bbaale, who had six months remaining on his contract joined Rayon Sports at the start of the 2023 season after a stellar campaign with SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League. During his time with the Gikundiro, Bbaale played a pivotal role in their 2023 FERWAFA Super Cup triumph where Rayon Sports defeated archrivals APR FC 3-0, scoring one of the goals.

This season, however, the forward has seen limited action under head coach Robertinho and spent much of the first half of the season back in Kampala. He managed two league goals, netting against Gasogi United and Musanze FC.

Bbaale’s departure now intensifies Rayon Sports' efforts to secure Uganda Cranes forward Fahad Bayo who is currently a free agent and also reportedly coveted by Rayon's chief rivals APR FC.
