Cheikhna Semega: Maghreb Fes sign Mauritanian striker

Morocco top flight side Maghreb de Fes have augmented their squad with the capture of prolific Mauritanian attacker Cheikhna Semega for the next few years.

Semega, who last played in the Jordanian league with Al-Salt SC, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal to strengthen the side who are currently leading the Botola Premier League with 20-points from 10-games.

The 27-year-old who previously played for Kaedi FC in the Mauritanian league arrives at the North African club after finishing with five goals in 12-appearances for Al-Salt FC in the Jordanian Pro League.

Semega, who is valued at 150,000 pounds is expected to add firepower in Maghreb Fes attack as they seek to win their fifth domestic top flight title.

The Yellow Tigers, who last won the Premier League 41-years ago share 20-points with Wydad Athletic Club who have two outstanding games due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League.

Maghreb Fez have won four Moroccan Throne Cups, a CAF Confederation Cup in 2011 and the CAF Super Cup in 2012.
