The 29-year-old’s move from Red Star Belgrade was confirmed for a transfer fee of €4 million and he joins on a contract that runs until June 2029. Ndiaye will look to thrive at a higher level of competition after a successful spell in Serbia.

Ndiaye returns to a nation where he has enjoyed previous success. The Dakar native has 29 goals and 7 assists in 89 career Super Lig matches from time spent at Göztepe and Adana Demirspor where he proved himself before making the move to Red Star. With the Serbian giants, Ndiaye continued his proflific scoring rate and also made his first appearances in the UEFA Champions League with the club.

He was the leading scorer in Serbia’s Super Liga last season with 19 goals in 29 matches, statistics that brought increased attention from clubs to result in his latest transfer. Samsunspor, a club that surprised many last season by finishing third in the Super Lig, will compete in the UEFA Conference League this season. They are off to a decent start to the 2025-26 campaign, sitting sixth on the Super Lig table with seven points from three matches.

Ndiaye is also looking to remain in the picture for the Senegal national team as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations approaches in December. The veteran goal scorer’s strong form brought him in the fold for the Lions of Teranga with a senior national team debut in June 2024. Ndiaye also made a substitute appearance in Senegal’s crucial 3-2 victory at DR Congo in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying from the September 2025 FIFA window, suggesting he will play a role at the AFCON finals in Morocco.

Samsunspor next host Antalyaspor in Super Lig action on Saturday to begin a busy stretch of three matches in eight days, making it certain that Ndiaye will be pressed into action quickly.
