Nnadozie nominated for WSL Save of the Month

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Month award for October following her brilliant shoot stopping ability in Brighton & Hove Albion Women clash against Tottenham Hotspur on October 5.

The Nigeria national team shot stopper has been outstanding since joining Brighton. Despite her team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Spurs, her free kick save in the match caught the eye of fans and analysts alike.

Nnadozie’s save came from a powerful free-kick by Finnish midfielder Eveliina Summanen, whose strike pierced through the Brighton wall before being denied by the Super Falcons keeper with a full stretch save.

Other nominees for the monthly award are Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce, Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar, Everton’s Emily Ramsey, and Leicester City’s Janina Leitzig.
