Chippa United bolsters squad with trio of new signings

Chippa United has confirmed the acquisition of three new players, including two from Richards Bay FC, as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the 2025/26 season.

The club officially announced the signings of forwards Justice Figareido and Somila Ntsundwana, along with defender Harold Majadibodu, on its social media platforms Tuesday.

Justice Figareido, 27, joins the Chilli Boys on a permanent deal from Richards Bay FC. The Eswatini international made 22 appearances for the Natal Rich Boyz last season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

“Chippa United is pleased to announce the signing of Justice Figareido on a permanent transfer from Richards Bay FC,” the club said in a statement. “The pacey forward joins the Chilli Boys ahead of the 2025 season. We look forward to seeing him lead the line and deliver a season full of goals. Welcome to the Eastern Cape, Figo!”

Figareido has also played for clubs like Manzini Sundowns in Eswatini, Maritzburg United, Mbombela United, and TS Galaxy.

Chippa United also welcomed back Gqeberha native Somila Ntsundwana, a forward who also joins from Richards Bay FC. “Welcome back home, Somila,” the club added.

Additionally, the Chilli Boys have signed Harold Majadibodu, a versatile defender and former captain of AmaTuks.

These new additions join a growing list of signings for Chippa this transfer window, which includes Sammy Seabi, Goodman Mosele, and Abdoulaye S. Mariko, among others.

Chippa United, who are currently 15th on the Betway Premiership log with one point from three matches, will face Richards Bay FC in a league clash this evening.
