Chippa United sporting director praises Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos

Chippa United’s newly appointed sporting director, Sinesipho Mali, has lauded Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos, calling him an “amazing leader.”

Mali recently took on the sporting director role with the Chilli Boys, where he’ll work closely with new head coach Sinethemba Badela. He replaces Morgan Mammila, the club’s first-ever sporting director.

Notably, Mali will also continue his duties with the South Africa Senior National Team as their Head Performance Analyst.

In an interview on Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified, Mali, a former scout for Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United, expressed his gratitude to the Belgian mentor for his support as he balances his new responsibilities with his ongoing work for Bafana Bafana.

“I’ve gotten blessings and so much guidance from coach Hugo,” Mali shared. “He’s someone who has played an amazing role in my life and my career. Luckily, having been a sporting director previously, during camp he’s actually given me a lot of advice and guidance in terms of that role, especially from a leadership point.”

Mali concluded by emphasising Broos’s exceptional leadership qualities: “I always believe that he’s probably one of the most amazing, if not the best, leaders that I have ever met.”
