Chiragwi: CAPS United media
CAPS United coach Takesure Chiragwi has told his high-flying Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) side that there is nothing to celebrate about yet.
The former Ngezi Platinum FC manager said this after his team, which is also called Makepekepe in the Zimbabwe football circles, made it four straight wins in the domestic league over the weekend.

In the latest victory, the Harare-based giants registered a 2-0 victory over HardRock FC on Saturday to end the visitors’ three-game unbeaten run.
The impressive four wins on the trot has turned CAPS United into potential Castle Lager PSL champions. However, Chiragwi knows that there is a long way to go in the marathon.
“It is too early to celebrate,” the coach said. “There is nothing to celebrate about. It is just games that we are winning. It is our phase and we must make sure we utilise the phase because when you play a performance like this and you come out as winners, it shows that it is our phase and we need to enjoy it.”
However, the former CAPS United player warned his players against complacency, saying opponents are now bent on beating them.
“What is important is to make sure that we don’t sleep over it. There are important games that are coming,” he added.
Chiragwi’s remarks echo what CAPS United team manager Tinashe Nengomasha said last week, warning Makepekepe players to desist from the trap of complacency.
Chiragwi’s men opened the 2026 Castle PSL season with a 2-1 victory over Agama FC before overcoming Herentals College FC and Triangle United by 1-0 margins and leads the log table.
