Christantus Uche to remain at Crystal Palace till end of season

English Premier League club Crystal Palace have reportedly decided not to part ways with Nigerian senior men’s national team midfielder Christantus Uche until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Uche, who joined the Eagles on a season-long loan from Spanish LaLiga outfit Getafe on deadline day, was earlier reported to be on the verge of leaving, as the London club was considering sending the player back to Getafe in January.

Uche has made just five league appearances

However, according to the Standard, Crystal Palace now have no plans to cancel the midfielder’s loan despite his receiving limited minutes, with the 22-year-old also keen to remain at Selhurst Park.

The Nigeria international impressed off the bench in Oliver Glasner’s side’s 2-1 win at Fulham last weekend.

He is expected to feature regularly for Palace during the busy December fixtures if he is not called up by Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The midfielder has made just five league appearances for the Eagles all season.
