CAFCL: “GoldStars cannot be underestimated” – JS Kabylie coach Zinnbauer

Head coach of JS Kabylie, Josef Zinnbauer has watered down assertions that, their 2-0 lead against Gold Stars in the CAF Champions League has made the second fixture a formality.

The Algerian outfit nailed the Ghana champions by 2-0 in the first leg preliminary round at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 20, making life difficult for the Bibiani based side in the return encounter on Sunday, September 28.

Notwithstanding the advantage from the first leg, Josef Zinnbauer says the game is far from over as Gold Stars have the quality to turn things around.

GoldStars have what it takes to pull a shocker

“You saw the game, we led the game and we got back and we were too lazy and we unconcentrated and if we are not careful then we can lose again,” Josef Zinnbauer told Pan Africa Football.

“If you underestimate the team, you cannot do [that], Champions League is Champions League and every team is good.

“Now we have a game at home and we hope we can get the result for the next game.

“The champions league is a good exercise for us so an improvement for us, we have young players, we have experienced players, we have players who don’t play Champions League now and I think this is what we need.

“We have the result now on our side and we have to manage the home game, it will not be easy but it’s possible.” He added.
