Tanzania international and Young Africans (Yanga SC) forward Clement Mzize has openly stated that he will not turn down an offer to leave the newly-crowned Mainland Premier League champions.
The 21-year-old has further called on Yanga’s top management to grant him permission to leave the Jangwani-based giants if the right offer comes in. Mzize enjoyed a great 2024/25 campaign with Yanga, notching 14 league goals and providing five assists.
According to unconfirmed reports, North African heavyweights including Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca and Algerian powerhouse JS Kabylie are among the clubs keen to secure the services of the Taifa Stars player.
“I've had a great season, winning the Premier League crown and scoring in the derby. It's an immense feeling, and I’m grateful to be here. It’s true that I’ve received offers, but as a player, I can’t disclose them,” Mzize told the Guardian.
“Of course, I want to explore new opportunities to grow my career. I’ve had wonderful moments at Young Africans, and as I’ve mentioned, I’m still under contract. So everything will be handled through my management, and we’ll see what happens next.”
Mzize and Yanga will wrap up their season with the Federation Cup final against Singida Black Stars on Saturday. A win for the Citizens would complete a domestic treble, having already secured the Premier League and the Community Shield.
