The Tunisian Football Federation announced on Monday the appointment of Anis Boujelbene as the new head coach of the Tunisia Olympic national team (Under-23).

The 47-year-old coach has been in charge of Tunisian club ES Zarzis since last July, following his dismissal from Egyptian side Al Masry SC.

According to the official statement published by the Tunisian Football Federation, an agreement has been reached for Boujelbene to take over the U-23 national team starting in January 2026. The statement clarified that he will continue his duties with ES Zarzis until the end of the current season, before fully focusing on his role with the Olympic team.

As a result, Boujelbene will manage both ES Zarzis and the Tunisia U-23 national team simultaneously from January 2026 until mid-May of the same year.

ES Zarzis currently sit sixth in the Tunisian league standings with 24 points, just seven points behind league leaders Espérance de Tunis.

Anis Boujelbene has coached six clubs since beginning his managerial career in September 2014, with his most notable experiences coming at CS Sfaxien and Al Masry SC.
