The Football Federation of Comoros (FFC) has dissolved the Stefano Cusin-led coaching panel following a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign.
A statement from FFC released on Tuesday confirms the disbandment of the panel. The Frenchman presided over a three-game winless run at the continental tournament in Morocco.

The statement says the dissolution of the coaching panel follows an executive committee meeting held on Monday to review Comoros national team’s participation in the AFCON finals, among many other things.
“Following this meeting and after thorough analysis of the sports and organizational balance, the Executive Committee decided to end the work of the technical staff of the A national team,” reads the statement.
FFC says the decision was part of its reorganization of the national team to strengthen its efficiency and performance.
“The Federation of Football des Comoros would like to thank everyone, technical staff members for the work done, commitment and professionalism shown throughout their mission in serving the national team,” adds the statement.
FCC has since given a strong hint of a possible renewal of the contract for Cusin beyond March 31 2026 when it expires.
“Discussions of a possible renewal of the collaboration are underway in compliance with the guidelines set by the committee,” says the statement.
The islanders lost 2-0 to the Atlas Lions in the AFCON opener for Group A before sharing the spoils with Zambia and Mali with an identical score line of 0-0.
