After a poor season that saw them come close to relegation from the Qatar Stars League, Qatar SC are in the process of a rebuilding project that saw them part ways with many of their foreign players following the 2024-25 campaign.
South Africa national team forward Percy Tau and Congolese striker Ben Malango were released as well as Moroccan central defender Badr Benoun who recently joined up with Raja Casablanca. Al Ahly loanee Ahmed Abdelkader returned to his parent club in Egypt without being acquired permanently
Selemani, the Marseille-born winger who began his career in the third tier of French football, enjoyed a relatively successful spell in the Saudi top flight despite being relegated at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season with Al Hazem. Selemani produced 7 goals and 4 assists in 26 league games with Hazem, following it up with 6 goals and 4 assists in 28 games during his only season with midtable side Al Riyadh.
The talented dribbler will now look to boost the fortunes of Qatar SC, the eight-time Qatari champions who have struggled to meet expectations in recent seasons.
