Sacked former Coton Sport coach Djonkep Bonaventure
Cameroon Elite One side Coton Sport have sacked their head coach Djonkep Bonaventure after six league games in charge. The Garoua side decided on the fate of the Cameroonian tactician on Friday.
The decision turned out to be surprising for many as Bonaventure was hired before the start of the new season. His record in six games was two wins, three defeats and a draw.
Bonaventure's last game in charge was against Les Astres where Coton Sport played out a one all draw. The club failed to disclose as to why the coach is sacked but many believe it is due to the poor performance of the side.
The 18-time Cameroonian champions are currently fourth with nine points in Cameroon's top division Elite One. Former coach Minkreo Birwé returns to Coton Sport on interim bases.
