After confirming themselves as Tunisia Ligue 1 Professionnelle champions, Tunis giants Espérance ST are now on the verge of securing a domestic double. EST defeated fellow Ligue 1 side US Ben Guerdane 3-0 in Sunday's semifinal to advance to the final of the Coupe de Tunisie.

Youcef Belaïli opened the scoring inside ten minutes for EST before Brazilian attacker Yan Sasse doubled the advantage for the Blood and Gold in the second half. Algerian international Belaïli collected a pass on the left wing and poked his finish past Noureddine Farhati in the USBG goal.

Yan Sasse got behind the USBG defense in the 68th minute and was left with an easy finish to put EST up two goals. Sasse's compatriot Rodrigo Rodrigues added one more goal for the favorites in stoppage time.

EST will face reigning cup champions Stade Tunisien in the final, who defeated Ligue 1 runners-up US Monastir on Saturday in a penalty kick shootout following a 0-0 draw. Monastir failed to convert their first two spot kicks while Stade Tunisien converted four of their five attempts for a 4-2 shootout victory.

The final will take place next Sunday on June 1. It will be a rematch of the Super Cup final from earlier this year when Espérance defeated ST 2-0 in February, Espérance are undefeated against Stade Tunisien this season, winning two matches and drawing once.
