Morocco's Coupe du Trône continued on with the Round of 32 on Saturday and observers were treated to a matchday that featured 21 goals in 4 matches.
Defending champions Raja Casablanca were among the teams in action and a dream start carried the Green Eagles to a 4-2 victory over Botola 2 side Raja Beni Mellal. Adam Ennafati and Sabir Bougrine each scored inside the opening ten minutes, giving RCA a lead they would never relinquish against a team that appears likely to gain promtion to the top division Botola Pro.
In one of two matches from the day that saw two clubs from the top division face off, Renaissance Zemamra had no issues in a dominant 4-0 victory over Difaa El Jadida. Zakaria Bahrou scored a hat-trick for RCAZ, who will face AS FAR in the Round of 16.
In the other all-Botola Pro clash, Union Touarga increased the pain for Chabab Mohammedia in a lopsided 6-2 victory. Incredibly, Chabab Mohammedia have still yet to win a match in the 2024-25 season and only have 4 points from 25 matches in the Botola Pro with relegation on the way.
Hassania Agadir were the other winners from Saturday with a 3-0 victory at lower division side AJS Boujdour. Three more matches await on Sunday to complete the field in the Round of 16 with Olympique Safi the only Botola Pro club in action.
