In an effort to address the current situation, the board of CS Sfaxien issued an official statement following an emergency meeting to discuss the condition of the first football team.

This comes after a series of disappointing results, the latest being a defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup. The statement read: "The board of CS Sfaxien held a special meeting to evaluate the state of the first team, particularly after a series of results that do not reflect the club's history and reputation.

"This includes the recent defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup. The board expresses its regret and apologizes to the fans, especially those who endured the hardships of traveling to Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès in large numbers and provided exceptional support as always."

The statement further clarified the steps being taken to address the situation, adding: "The board will meet with the players and technical staff individually and will not hesitate to take the necessary decisions at the right time, always prioritizing the club’s technical and financial interests."

The statement concluded with a message of encouragement to the fans: "Long live CS Sfaxien."

Through this statement, the club aims to reassure its loyal supporters and emphasizes its commitment to taking the required measures to restore the team’s form and fulfill the aspirations of this historic institution.

The team this season, have shown not very good results winning only five matches, drawing five, and losing two. Moreover, they have managed just one victory in their last six games.
