Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions Young Africans have unveiled Ivorian forward Célestin Ecua on a two-year contract from Zoman FC in Ivory Coast ahead of the season.
Ecua had an impressive season, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists across all competitions. Confirming his arrival on social media, Yanga said: “Welcome to the club of trophies, Super MVP Célestin Ecua.”
Ecua is a promising Ivorian striker, who exploded into prominence after his stellar loan stint at ASEC Mimosas. As the 2024/25 Ivorian Ligue 1 MVP (nominee), and with his instincts, versatility and hunger, Ecua will bring fresh energy to Yanga’s frontline and looks set to be a key contributor next season.
The arrival of Ecua comes a few hours after Yanga managed to secure the contract extension of Pacome Zouzoua, who was one of their key stars in the previous campaign.
