Leicester City striker Patson Daka has returned to Zambia's senior national football team squad ahead of next month’s friendlies against Tunisia and Sudan.

Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant has recalled Daka to the 25-member squad after being absent since last year due to injury.

Notable absentees include Saudi Arabia-based striker Fashion Sakala, who fell out with Grant, and Italy-based midfielder Lameck Banda and defender Franck Musonda from Scottish side Ayr United.

The Zambians want to use the friendlies to prepare for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers with one eye on the AFCON finals.

The Football Association of Zambia is yet to announce the actual dates and venues of the warm-up matches. Zambia will play the friendlies during the FIFA international football window from early to mid-June 2025.
