David Okereke set to join Turkish club Kocaelispor

Nigerian forward David Okereke is reportedly set to seal a permanent transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Kocaelispor.

Okereke has reportedly agreed personal terms with the newly promoted club. The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at another Turkish club, Gaziantep, from Italian Serie B outfit Cremonese.

Kocaelispor technical director Selçuk İnan’ın, who worked with the striker at Gaziantep, is pushing for the move. Fellow Turkish club Kasimpasa have also registered an interest in the Nigerian.

Okereke registered 10 goals and three assists in 30 league appearances for Gaziantep.
