SC Villa vice-captain David Owori has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract that will keep him at the Jogoos until 2027.

Owori, who re-joined SC Villa in February 2023 on a two-year deal saw his contract extended to clear any uncertainties about his future at the club.

The versatile midfielder has predominantly featured as a right-back this season, showcasing his adaptability.

In the 15 matches he has played for the defending champions, Owori has contributed two goals and provided one assist.

In a bid to boost their squad ahead of the Uganda Premier League second round, SC Villa also secured the services of Brian Masembe from Wembley and Ashiraf Mulindi from Soltilo Bright Stars.

Meanwhile, the club bid farewell to Edward Masembe, Peter Onzima and Hakim Kiwanuka during the recently concluded transfer window.

Currently sitting 8th on the Uganda Premier League table with 20 points from 15 games, the Morley Byekwaso-coached side will look to improve their standing as they kick off the second round of the season with an away fixture against Wakiso Giants on Tuesday, 8th February 2025.
