Defender Ochora and winger Aprem extend stays at BUL FC

BUL FC has confirmed that defender Walter Ochora and dynamic winger Martin Aprem have committed their futures to the Eastern Giants by penning new contracts.

Ochora, a towering presence at the back and the team’s captain, has signed a two-year extension, while Aprem — a speedy and versatile winger — has agreed to a new three-year deal.

“BUL FC can announce that Martin Aprem has renewed his contract with the club for three more years. His previous contract had expired in June,” the club stated.

A graduate of the club’s junior ranks, Aprem broke into the senior setup in the 2019/20 season and has grown into a consistent performer.

Reacting to his contract renewal, Aprem said: “I am excited about extending my stay with BUL FC. I’m super stoked to be staying here for the next three years. This club is like a family to me, and I’m grateful for the trust they’ve shown.

I look forward to pushing myself to achieve more success with the team — contributing with goals, assists, and helping my teammates thrive. Big thanks to the management, coaches, and fans for their unwavering support. Let’s keep working hard and making BUL FC proud.”

Ochora echoed similar sentiments about the decision to stay:

“I am excited to extend my stay at BUL FC. The love and positive environment here made it easy for me to remain.

There is still a lot I want to accomplish with this great club. Over the next two years, my main target is to win more trophies — especially the Uganda Premier League.”

Both players have played instrumental roles in BUL FC’s rise in recent seasons — helping the team win the Uganda Cup in 2021 and back-to-back FUFA Super 8 titles in 2023 and 2024.

The club also recently extended the contract of head coach Abbey Kikomeko and is reportedly closing in on the return of former striker Alex Kitaata, as they prepare for another ambitious campaign.
