According to statements by the English club’s sporting director on Sky Sports, Mbeumo may not leave the club this summer:
“There is interest in Mbeumo, that’s well known. He had an exceptional season, and we expected that would generate interest from clubs, but from what I know, the player would be happy to stay with us next season. It’s not certain that Mbeumo will leave this summer. If we receive a suitable offer, he could leave, but I can’t say more at the moment.”
It is worth noting that Manchester United submitted improved offers for Mbeumo this summer, the latest of which was £62.5 million.
