Dutch Eredivisie club NAC Breda have signed former Ghana defender Denis Odoi with the right-back joining the side for the rest of the campaign plus an option to extend for a further season.
The veteran full-back signs for manager, Carl Hoefkens charges in a bid to add solidity to the club’s defensive set up in the 13 week old Eredivisie. The former Club Brugge defender will reunite with Ghana forward Kamal Sowah
NAC Breda, who sit 16th on the Dutch Eredivisie table with 12 points, confirmed the move in an official statement on their social media pages.
Odoi’s experience includes stints with OH Leuven, Sint-Truiden, Lokeren, Anderlecht, Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp all in Belgium, as well as Fulham in England.
The 37-year-old has played 13 times for Ghana’s senior men’s team with an appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He previously featured for Belgium’s youth sides and once for the senior team before switching allegiance to represent the four time African champions in 2022.
