Ebenezer Ofori: Forgotten Ghana midfielder joins Lithuania side Zalgiris

Ghana midfielder Ebenezer Ofori is on the move once again after signing for Lithuanian side FK Zalgiris.

The 29-year-old has a rich experience, having played for clubs across Sweden, Germany, Denmark and the United States. Ofori’s European journey began in 2013 with Swedish top flight side, Stockholm AIK before making a move in 2017 to Germany with VFB Stuttgart in Bundesliga II.

On a loan stint at New York City FC followed in 2018, he clocked 50 matches over two years. After parting ways with Stuttgart, Ofori returned to AIK for another two-seasons.

The left-footed forward has been with Denmark’s Vejle BK since 2022 tallying 69 games split between the top flight and a lower division after starting on loan.

His international debutes started with , Ghana’s U-20s before earning 10 caps for the senior side where he scored once during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
