Edmond Tapsoba scores as Leverkusen edge St. Pauli

Edmond Tapsoba helped Bayer Leverkusen secure maximum points in week five of the Bundesliga. Leverkusen pipped St. Pauli 2-1 away from home as they closed the gap on the top teams after a slow start to the season.

Tapsoba handed Die Werkself the lead in the 25th minute with a finish from inside the area after a free kick service fell kindly. The home side battled their way to restore parity through Hauke Wahl but Ernest Poku’s second-half strike sealed a big win for Leverkusen.

The Burkina Faso international bagged his first Bundesliga goal of the season. Tapsoba has amassed seven games in total across all competitions in the 2025/26 season.
