Edo Queens FC sign Ghanaian keeper Adjei Charlotte

Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side, Edo Queens have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian goalkeeper, Adjei Charlotte from Remo Stars Ladies.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Benin City and was graced by key officials, including the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, and the General Manager of Edo Queens FC, Mr. Rollanson Odeh.

Hon. Enabulele while speaking during the unveiling expressed optimism about Charlotte’s impact on the NWFL 2023/2024 & WAFU- B Champions.

“We are pleased to welcome Adjei Charlotte to Edo Queens. Her experience and talent will undoubtedly add value to our team as we aim for greater success in the league and on the continental stage.” .

Charlotte, an agile goalkeeper with a commanding presence in the box and valuable international experience, is poised to significantly strengthen the team’s defensive lineup, providing both depth and stability.

Last season, she was a standout player for Remo Stars Ladies, playing a pivotal role in the Sky Blue Stars’ qualification for the NWFL Super Six in only their second season in the top flight.

The Ghanaian also played for Rivers Angels and Ampem Darkoa in the 2021 and 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League respectively.
