Video – Pyramids FC advance in Egypt Cup after Masar win, Al Masry also through

Pyramids FC secured their place in the next round of the Egypt Cup after defeating Masar in a match that concluded today.

Mostafa Ziko opened the scoring for Pyramids in the 61st minute, giving his side the lead after a balanced first half. The victory was sealed late in the game when Pyramids were awarded a penalty following a handball by a Masar defender. Abdelrahman Magdy successfully converted the spot kick in the 88th minute to make it 2-0.

With this win, Pyramids FC will face El Gouna in the Round of 16 of the Egypt Cup. El Gouna had earlier booked their spot after a 2-1 victory over Petrol Assiut in the Round of 32.

In another Egypt Cup fixture, Al Masry SC of Port Said overcame Dekernes to advance to the Round of 16. Al Masry will now await the winner of the match between ZED FC and Alu Egypt to determine their next opponent.
