Egypt and Ethiopia are set to continue their journey in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a head-to-head clash in the seventh round of Group A fixtures.
The Pharaohs currently lead the group with 16 points, well ahead of Burkina Faso in second place on 11. Sierra Leone sit third with 8 points, while Ethiopia and Guinea-Bissau are level on 6 each. Djibouti remain bottom with just one point.
Egypt will host Ethiopia on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Cairo International Stadium, kicking off at 10:00 PM local time (7:00 PM GMT).
With a strong lead at the top of the table, Egypt will be looking to tighten their grip on qualification, while Ethiopia hope to revive their campaign with a positive result on the road.
Egypt claimed a 2-0 victory over Ethiopia in first leg in the game played at the Al Arabi Zaouli Stadium in Morocco.
