Coach Hossam Hassan has announced Egypt squad for the upcoming September international break, which sees the Pharaohs face Ethiopia and Burkina Faso in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The squad features a number of notable changes. Amr El Gazzar, defender of National Bank, receives his first-ever call-up, while Mohannad Lasheen returns to the national team for the first time since the last Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, Marwan Attia of Al Ahly is back after recovering from injury, but teammate Emam Ashour misses out Egypt squad for September.
