The curtain has officially fallen on the first phase of the Nile Egyptian League, a stage that witnessed remarkable excitement and intense competition across the table.
The opening phase concluded with the postponed matches from Round 15, which produced surprising results. Al Ahly suffered a defeat against Talaea El Gaish, while Zamalek were beaten by ENPPI.
With the end of this phase, the league structure for the next stage has now been determined. The top seven teams in the standings have qualified for the Championship Group, where they will compete for the league title, while the remaining fourteen teams will battle in the Relegation Group to avoid dropping to the second division (last 4 teams).
Zamalek currently sit at the top of the Nile Egyptian League table with 43 points, level on points with Pyramids FC, while Al Ahly occupy third place, three points behind the leaders.
