Egyptian Premier League: Ismaily SC claims Modern Sport used too many foreign players, demands forfeit

Ismaily SC decided to file a complaint to the Nile League (Egyptian Premier League) Competition Committee and request a forfeit victory from Wednesday’s Round 7 match against Modern Sport.

The club based its protest on Modern Sport’s violation of league regulations by fielding six foreign players during the game, which ended in a goalless draw on Wednesday.

Modern Sport featured the following foreign players:

Joseph Jonathan Ngwem (Cameroon)

Fejiri Okenabirhie (Nigeria)

Mohamed Amissi (Burundi)

Enock Sakala (Zambia)

Arnold Eba (Cameroon)

Ibraheem Ajasa (Nigeria)

Ismaily SC issued a statement as follows:
