Hugo Ekitike is still open to representing Cameroon internationally. The Eintracht Frankfurt forward was born in Reims, France, and remains eligible to represent both Cameroon and France.

The 23-year-old striker had an impressive season in the German Bundesliga with Frankfurt, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists.

Ekitike still aspires to play for the senior French National Team, but the fierce competition may push him to consider joining the Indomitable Lions.

Speaking to 45 Minutes Times Two, the former Paris Saint-Germain player stated that representing France remains his top priority. “Playing for France is my primary dream. But if I am snubbed again by France, I really will have no choice but to represent my father's country, Cameroon,” he said.

Cameroon coach Marc Brys is still on the lookout for top talent to strengthen the squad. With veteran striker Vincent Aboubakar ageing, Cameroon is open to the idea of Ekitike representing the nation.
