El Bilal Touré nears Beşiktaş move

El Bilal Touré is close to leaving Atalanta for Turkish side Beşiktaş. The Mali international is expected to depart the Serie A club on an initial loan deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Beşiktaş are expected to make the move permanent at the end of the season. The 23-year-old striker spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Bundesliga side Stuttgart, but an injury sustained while on international duty with Mali sidelined him for several months. Atalanta coach Ivan Jurić does not consider Touré an integral part of his squad.

The Bergamo side signed Touré from Almería in a deal worth €30 million. He struggled in his debut season in Italy, scoring only three goals in all competitions. Last season, he managed just two goals in the Bundesliga after another serious injury kept him out of action. The former Reims striker now hopes to reignite his career in Turkey during the 2025/26 season.

Born in Ivory Coast, Touré represents Mali at international level. He was part of the Mali squad that won the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
