FC Copenhagen needed a victory on the final day of the season to win the 2024-25 edition of Denmark's Superliga and Tunisia international Elias Achouri rose to the occasion with a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-0 victory over FC Nordsjælland.

The 26-year-old produced an accurate low shot from outside the penalty area to open the scoring in only the 2nd minute, his second goal of the season. Achouri then provided an excellent pass to set up Jordan Larsson for Copenhagen's second goal early in the second half and the celebrations began.

Copenhagen edged out defending champions FC Midjtylland by one point to snatch the title. The Danish giants previously won the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, with Sunday's victory marking a return to the summit. They will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.

French-born Achouri continues to be a reliable option on the left wing for Copenhagen since joining from fellow Danish club Viborg before the 2023-24 season. He has 19 appearances for the Tunisia national team, scoring in the Carthage Eagles' 2-0 victory over Malawi in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March.
