AS Monaco forward Eliesse Ben Seghir appears to be looking toward the exit door from the French Ligue 1 side. The Morocco national team attacker has made thirty appearances in the top flight but is struggling for game time recently.

After breaking into the first team during the 2022/23 season, the 20-year-old striker suffered an injury and is playing less of a role under current manager Adi Hütter. According to L'Équipe, the Austrian coach favors other attacking players over Ben Seghir to the frustration of the French-Moroccan starlet.

Ben Seghir last scored in the league in February and has been substituted at halftime in his last two starts. Top European clubs enquired about his availability, although Monaco do not plan to sell the player. With nine goals to his name this season in all competitions, Ben Seghir has a contract at Monaco that runs until 2030.

Morocco coach Walid Regragui called up Ben Seghir for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers in March. However, with his future at Monaco now uncertain, the striker may be considering his next move.
