Vinicius Melo set the tone early with a 15th-minute strike from Mohamed Rabie’s cross, before Bruno doubled the lead from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time. Just moments later, Abdullah Ramadan unleashed a stunning free-kick deep into added time, sending Al Jazira into the break three goals up. Melo struck again in the 51st minute to complete his brace and seal a dominant performance.
Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny, started the game for Al Jazira before being substituted in the 61st minute as part of rotation. His compatriot Ibrahim Adel was lively on the flanks and lasted until the 86th minute. Meanwhile, Ivorian midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly delivered a 90-minute shift.
The convincing win lifts Al Jazira to 7 points, placing them second in the standings, just one behind leaders Al Wahda. For Bani Yas, the defeat was their fourth in succession, leaving them bottom without a single point.
