Ghana winger, Ernest Nuamah has courted interest from English Premier League club, Everton following his blistering form in the French Ligue 1.
The Olympique Lyon forward has been in a fine form for Olympique Lyon, featuring in 12 out of the 17 league games this term but is yet to find the back of the net.
The bright form has attracted Everton manager, David Moyes, who has confirmed that the club is looking at signing the Black Stars forward before the transfer window closes.
According to Moyes, the Black Stars forward is one of several players the Toffees are interested in recruiting in the January transfer window. Moyes is hoping that Everton can seal a deal to secure the services of Nuamah to strengthen his squad.
“He’s a player that I know we’ve been looking at, but I couldn’t say for sure that it’s done or even underway, unless there’s something happening that I’m unaware of.
“We’re considering several players, and Ernest Nuamah is one of them. Hopefully, we can make some signings before the window closes,” Moyes told journalists on Friday during his pre-match press conference ahead of Everton’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Moyes made a return to the Goodison Park following the departure of Sean Dyche and he will seek to revive the struggling side he once managed. Everton are seated 16th with 17 points, one point above the relegation zone.
