Week 9 of the Eritrean Super Division saw Al Tahrir climbing to third with a win over strugglers Paradiso. The two-time Eritrean champions still have a long way to go to catch leaders Denden and Red Sea.

In a game played out in Asmara, Al Tahrir beat Paradiso 2-0. Second half goals from Meron Andom and Yonatan Tekeste handed the capital side a much-needed win to go third before the first-round games ended.

Elsewhere, Mai Temenai and Sembel Company played out a one all draw. Seme Mebrehatu handed Sembel the lead but his strike was canceled out by Abel Tekeste in the dying moments of the game.

Asmara Brewery bounced back from round 8 defeat as they emerged 1-0 winners against Air Force. Hanibal Mekael scored the sole goal of the game in the 29th minute. Denden FC are still leading the standing while record champions Red Sea are second.
