The Ethiopian national side is expected to wear a new kit manufactured by Italian sportswear company Macron for their friendly game against MLS side D.C. United on August 2nd at Audi Field Stadium. The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) and Macron agreed to a partnership a few weeks ago, but details of the agreement have not been disclosed so far.

Although the details of the deal have not been made public, Pan Africa Football can exclusively report that Macron has become the new kit supplier of the Ethiopian national team. The new kit deal means the EFF is moving away from the Hagere brand for now. Nonetheless, the Ethiopian national side is still training while wearing the Hagere brand. The brand is owned by the EFF, but sources close to the matter told Pan-Africa Football that the kits were manufactured in Türkiye.
EFF international liaison Yohanes Zewdu shared a short video on his official Instagram account showing Ethiopian football legends Adane Girma, Degu Debebe, and Tafesse Tesfaye wearing the new kit for a potential advertisement. Pan-Africa Football understands that the kit has been made available for sale in the United States. The EFF is eyeing a large sum of revenue from the kit sales.
The Walias previously wore brands like Erreà and Adidas. They have also used a local brand named Gofere before adopting the Hagere brand.
