Ethiopian Premier League: Coffee and Insurance register big wins

Ethiopian Coffee and Ethiopian Insurance won their respective games on Thursday in the final games of week 14 of the Ethiopian Premier League.

Coffee beat Fasil Kenema 1-0. Nigerian forward Divine Nwachukwu struck the solitary goal of the tie. Coffee are seventh with 19 points whilst Fasil are tenth with 16 points.

Ethiopian Insurance’s impressive form persists as they brushed aside strugglers Hawassa Ketema 2-0. Goals from Mohammed Abera and Dawit Teferra were enough to hand the Addis Ababa side the victory. Former Saint George midfielder Teferra scored a spectacular goal from his own half close to full time to secure the three points.

Insurance are now second with 23 points after going nine league games without a defeat. Hawassa are currently in the drop zone with 10 points from 13 matches.
