Round 30 continued from the Ethiopian Premier League on Sunday as Ethiopian Coffee continued to chase leaders Ethiopian Insurance with a routine win over Adama Ketema. Commercial Bank of Ethiopia were held by ten-man Fasil Kenema. Wolwalo Adigrat's relegation was mathematically confirmed as well.

Ethiopian Coffee scored in each half to beat Adama Ketema 2-0. The Browns were without their suspended head coach, Netsanet Kibre, as former legendary striker Tafesse Tesfaye led the side to victory. Ramkel James gave Coffee the lead after converting from a set piece. Amanuel Admasu doubled the lead in the second half.

Ethiopian Coffee are second in the league table with 51 points, nine adrift of leaders Ethiopian Insurance. Adama Ketema continue to languish in the drop zone.

Fasil Kenema came from behind to hold reigning champions Commercial Bank of Ethiopia to a one-all draw. Addis Gidey’s sublime finish was the difference between the two sides in the first half. Ugandan striker Martin Kizza was shown his marching orders in the first half, forcing the Emperors to play a man down. Nonetheless, veteran striker Getaneh Kebede scored from the spot to level matters in the second half.

CBE are ninth with 39 points, while Fasil Kenema are 11th with 36 points.

Elsewhere, bottom side Wolwalo Adigrat University and Ethio-Electric shared the spoils in a barren draw. The northern Ethiopian side are now mathematically relegated from the top flight with only one victory this season, while two-time Ethiopian Premier League champions Electric are still battling relegation after collecting 33 points—three points above the drop zone.
