Ethiopian Insurance cruised past Mekele 70 Enderta in Week 30 of the Ethiopian Premier League. Diredawa Ketema also registered a big win over Arbaminch Ketema in another fixture.
Abubaker Sani headed home in the second half as league leaders Ethiopian Insurance recorded a 1-0 win over Mekele 70 Enderta. Gebremedhin Haile's charges pushed Mekele further into the drop zone.
Ethiopian Insurance created a 12-point gap over second-placed Ethiopian Coffee as they reached the 60-point mark. Mekele 70 Enderta are 15th with 30 points.
Diredawa Ketema beat Arbaminch Ketema 1-0. Former Insurance player Habib Kemal's beautiful strike in the second half saw the Easterners brush the Crocodiles aside. The loss came after Arbaminch Ketema gave their head coach Bereket Demu a three-match ultimatum.
Diredawa Ketema are 13th with 33 points, while Arbaminch Ketema are 12th with 35 points.
