
Week 15 games of the Ethiopian Premier League kicked off earlier today in Adama as the impressive form of Saint George continued. It was also another big victory for promoted side Arbaminch Ketema as they beat Sihul Shire 1-0.
Saint George passed Diredawa Ketema's test to register a convincing 2-0 win. The Horsemen scored twice after the interval as they announced themselves as title contenders. Saint George goalie Bahiru Negash's long ball forced Diredawa center back Ismail Ganiyu to score an own goal. Fitsum Tilahun struck the second goal from the spot.
Diredawa was forced to play the second half a player down after former Hawassa Ketema player Alazar Merne was shown his marching order in the 53rd minute. Record Ethiopian champions Saint George are now second with 24 points. Diredawa are sixth with 19 points.
Arbaminch Ketema kept on their winning form as they swept aside Sihul Shire 1-0. Butako Shemena's header was the difference between the two sides. The Crocodiles are ninth with 19 points as Sihul Shire are in the drop zone with 16 points.
