Cameroon goalkeeper, Andre Onana has said that club side Manchester United have the upper hand over Olympique Lyonnais in their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal clash.

The Red Devils will travel to the Groupama Stadium on Thursday for the first leg encounter amidst struggles in the English Premier League where they sit 13th on the table with 38 points from 31 matches.

Onana, 29, who has kept eight games in the Europa League with eight goals conceded and one clean sheet to his credit this season, emphasised the importance of approaching the game with a winning mentality.

"We all know the importance of this game, we will go there with the winning mentality," Onana stated in an interview with the club's website. "We have to go there and show who we are. If we are focused, stay compact and together and follow the game plan, we will be winning the game. Of course, it's not going to be easy but I think we are way better than them."

Onana has appeared in 31 English Premier League games, allowing 41 goals into his net with 9 clean sheets under his gloves this season. The return leg of the Europa League quarterfinal game is set for April 17 at the Stamford Bridge with United setting a target of reaching the semifinals and potentially win the title.
