Nigeria defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has spoken about Fenerbahce’s crucial UEFA Europa League clash against Scottish side, Rangers on Thursday at the Ibrox.
Jose Mourinho’s lads go into the second leg game from a 3-1 deficit from the first leg at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium last week and will need at least two goals to qualify for the quarter finals of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the match, Osayi-Samuel stressed the importance of gaining possession and being clinical in front of goal.
“As a team, we are aware of how important tomorrow night’s match is. When we analysed the first game, we created a lot of chances and if we repeat that tomorrow night, if we create the same chances again.
“Of course, we know that Rangers will come against us with counterattacks, we know that they will play this game. So we have to have the ball and not lose the ball. That way, we can have a chance to win,” he stated.
Osayi-Samuel’s return is expected to provide a boost for José Mourinho’s side as they seek redemption in Glasgow.
