OGC Nice Ivorian striker Evann Guessand could soon be on the move, with several clubs showing interest in him.
The 24-year-old player, under contract with Nice until June 2028, has attracted strong interest from Saudi Arabia’s Neom SC, However, the player is not keen on the move, according to Foot Mercato.
Foot Mercato reports that despite OGC Nice being open to completing a deal worth around €30 million, Guessand’s lack of enthusiasm has created tension within the Nice hierarchy. The French club had already begun working on securing a replacement, hoping the transfer to go through quickly.
Guessand is coming off a very good season, contributing 13 goals and 10 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
According to local outlet Nice-Matin, the former Nantes player would prefer a switch to the Premier League or the Bundesliga. The same source adds that Crystal Palace are already in talks with the player’s representatives, though no formal offer has been submitted at this stage.
As it stands, Guessand’s future remains uncertain. While Nice may be eager to cash in, the striker’s ambition to play at a higher European level could lead him away from the Saudi Pro League and toward a potential opportunity in England.
