Aznou failed to breakthrough into the senior team with Bayern since joining from Barcelona in 2022. He reportedly issued an ultimatum to Bayern’s management for a transfer unless he was promised more playing time and has now gotten his wish granted with an opportunity to establish himself in the Everton team at a high level.

Last season, Aznou went on loan to Spanish La Liga cellar dwellers Real Valladolid where he featured regularly for a team well on its way to relegation. With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations upcoming in Morocco at the end of the year, Aznou has an opportunity to increase his status with the Atlas Lions and coach Walid Regragui.

Skilled on the ball and filling a need for Everton at the left back position, Aznou will be pleased to have higher expectations and the opportunity to prove himself at the highest level in club football.

Everton are currently in the United States for the Premier League Summer Series where they will face West Ham United on Wednesday before finishing the tour against Manchester United on August 3. They begin Premier League action on August 18 away from home at newly-promoted Leeds United.
