Senegalese international Idrissa Gana Gueye is set to stay at Everton for at least another season after the club confirmed their intention to extend the midfielder's stay.
The Senegalese player's current contract has expired. However, Everton has decided to end the uncertainty by publicly announcing its offer of a new contract to Gueye, 35, who has been one of the club's most outstanding players this season.
"The Club is offering new contracts to Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gana Gueye while we continue to work with the representatives of Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin," Everton announced in an official statement.
This decision follows a string of exceptional performances from Gana Gueye, who capped his impressive season with Everton's Player of the Season award for 2024-25. Gueye has made 37 starts in 40 matches across all competitions this season, demonstrating not only his continued fitness but also his pivotal role in Everton's technical midfield.
